Communications equipment company taps 3PL Choice Logistics to improve customer satisfaction while boosting bottom line
New York — April 18, 2005 — Global communications equipment supplier net.com has implemented solutions from Choice Logistics to support the company's rapidly growing inventory, streamline processes and enhance parts delivery performance.
Choice Logistics is a provider of mission-critical service logistics and supply chain solutions.
"Choice Logistics' hands-on approach and genuine interest in the success of its clients sets them far apart from the competition," said John Guisto, vice president of global services for net.com. "Since tapping Choice's services, our logistics operations are much more efficient, extremely scalable and allow us to focus on our expertise and client satisfaction."
Boosting SLAs above 99 Percent
Partnering with Choice Logistics increased net.com's on-time delivery on more than 100 service level agreements (SLAs) from 55 per cent to 99.7 per cent. Parts availability improved from 87 per cent to 99.8 per cent. Nine weeks after implementing Choice's services, net.com was consolidated to one central warehouse and experienced a decrease in total inventory from $13 million to $8.5 million.
"We are pleased net.com has experienced such phenomenal results," said Rob Kass, president and chief operating officer for Choice Logistics. "By implementing a centralized set of logistics processes, we have helped net.com deliver better service to their clients while saving them time and money."
Choice said it is continuing to help net.com improve service levels and customer satisfaction while expanding the scope of the partnership.
