Provider achieves integration with the NetWeaver Platform for its DPM solution

Boston — December 22, 2005 — Solution provider ToolsGroup, which specializes in distribution-focused inventory optimization, has completed SAP certification for its DPM 5.1.0 product, earning the "Powered by SAP NetWeaver" designation for its integration via the SAP NetWeaver platform.

"Powered by SAP NetWeaver" eases access to data contained in SAP solutions and other internal and external sources. With "Powered by SAP NetWeaver" certification, DPM users can further leverage their current investments in SAP solutions and use DPM's analytics and planning capabilities to conduct inventory and service level optimization, ToolsGroup said.

Using DPM, executives can plan their customer service policies to high fill rates and then optimize the global inventory mix across the supply chain to meet them. In addition, the same software can be used for both strategic studies and for operations, ensuring that executives see the same results in practice as they do in their plans, the solution provider said.

"This certification is additional evidence that DPM can provide a streamlined and efficient solution for optimizing inventory from inside the SAP NetWeaver platform," said Joseph Shamir, CEO of ToolsGroup. "It improves DPM's ability to seamlessly include information from SAP solutions with other data, leading to reduced working capital, near-perfect customer service levels and lower finished goods inventory and operating costs."
