DIS to offer SPS network as hosted service alternative to EDI software
St. Paul, MN — April 1, 2004 — Integration specialist SPS Commerce has formed a partnership with Data Integration Specialists (DIS) under which DIS will offer SPS Commerce.net to its customers and prospects as a hosted service alternative to electronic data interchange (EDI) software.
Data Integration Specialists concentrate on two areas of integration, trading community adoption and enterprise integration, focusing on the mid-market segment of such industries as manufacturing, retail, transportation and healthcare.
In particular, DIS facilitates the integration of customers' back-end systems, including manufacturing accounting applications like Peachtree, Macola and MAS 90, or other health care applications to track business essentials like healthcare claims, eligibility/enrollment, or remittance advice.
Under the new agreement, DIS will receive sales training and support from SPS and will be paid a commission on future sales of SPSCommerce.net services to their prospect and customer base. The relationship will extend SPS Commerce's reach into the small and midsize business market for e-commerce services.
"Our customers need an easy-to-use, easy to implement and maintain, cost-effective EDI solution that fully integrates with the various back-end systems they employ to manage their businesses," said Joe Dalman, a principal with DIS.
SPS said it expects to broker similar reseller agreements through its business development team over the course of 2004.
