Why would two of the world’s biggest electronics companies work together? To add critical flexibility to their supply chains, reports an article in the Wall Street Journal. According to WSJ, Intel Corp. is providing wireless chips to some of Apple Inc.’s new iPhone 7 models.  Intel’s baseband modern semiconductors will replace those sold by Qualcomm Inc. WSJ reports, “Intel is making a breakthrough in the chip giant’s lengthy quest to find a foothold in the big smartphone market.”
