Kardex launched Kardex SnapVac (KSV), what is dubbed as the first semi-automated cleaning robot designed specifically for AutoStore Red Line systems.

“With Kardex SnapVac, we’re delivering a smarter, safer, and more efficient way to maintain grid hygiene,” says Mitch Hayes, president of Kardex Solutions – North America. “It’s a simple upgrade that delivers big results in uptime, compliance, and peace of mind.”

Key takeaways:

·        SnapVac is engineered to eliminate dust and debris buildup from the top of the AutoStore grid without interrupting operations, helping operators reduce downtime, extend robot lifespan, and ensure clean, safe, and high-performing systems.

·        Designed for seamless integration, Kardex SnapVac is compatible with AutoStore R5, R5+, and R5 Pro robots. It features a low-profile bristle tube that captures up to 80% of dust and debris while navigating the grid.

·        Other benefits are that it cleans while the AutoStore system continues operating; reduces manual labor and eliminates the need for human grid access; data is tracked and visualized to support proactive system upkeep; and no reconfiguration or retraining needed.
