Switch to Resources Global Professionals reflects worldwide capabilities, consultancy says; firm looks to take on Big Four
Costa Mesa, CA — January 11, 2005 — Consultancy Resources Connection has changed the name of its operating entity to Resources Global Professionals to better reflect the company's global capabilities and to position the firm as a viable competitor to the Big Four consultancies.
In conjunction with the name change, the company launched a new advertising campaign and corporate Web site, www.resourcesglobal.com.
"Since departing from Deloitte nine years ago, we have made tremendous progress expanding the company's global capabilities," said Don Murray, president and CEO of the company. "We are now better positioned to respond to the challenges and risks facing businesses today as a result of the changing economic and regulatory environment."
Murray said that the consultancy's strategic growth across each of the company's service lines has been critical to establishing Resources Global Professionals as an independent resource and partner to major corporations. The company now cites a base of more than 1,600 clients within 37 countries.
"We will continue making the necessary investments to align all aspects of the brand with the company's global evolution," Murray said.
The launch of the company's new advertising campaign, "Anticipate Success," was developed to parallel the company's approach to providing corporations with hands-on value on a project basis. The campaign's primary focus is on Resources Global Professional's project team members, further emphasizing their integration with client organizations. The company also said its Web site, which has undergone a complete redesign, reflects Resources Global Professionals' presence and service offerings on a global scale.
Murray concluded: "Within the past five years, we have grown our company's revenue and global presence. In line with our global expansion plan, we will continue to pursue international opportunities that will help maintain this momentum and further establish Resources Global Professionals as a viable global alternative to the Big Four."
Resources Global Professionals continues to trade on the NASDAQ. The company's internal audit and risk management business remains branded as Resources Audit Solutions. The parent company, Resources Connection, Inc., will continue to file all required documentation with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
