Enterprise resource planning provider open first office in Taiwan
Paso Robles, CA — February 8, 2005 — IQMS, which has developed enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution EnterpriseIQ for repetitive, process and discrete manufacturing environments, said today it is expanding to serve manufacturers throughout Asia.
The company said it has formed IQMS Asia, a subsidiary, to develop the market, effect sales and handle implementation and service for EnterpriseIQ customers.
The first IQMS Asia office opened in Kaohsiung, Tawian, with a second office planned for Shanghai, China, in March and a third planned for Hong Kong before the end of 2005.
IQMS has introduced two language versions to serve manufacturers in Asia. EnterpriseIQ is available in Simplified Chinese, for companies on the mainland, and Traditional Chinese, for companies in Taiwan and portions of South Eastern China. The new language versions allow manufacturers to connect operations in other countries with plants in China.
EnterpriseIQ is also available in English, German, Dutch, Swedish and Spanish.
According to Eddy Fang, president of IQMS Asia, IQMS-based solutions are a good fit for the dynamic manufacturing market in Asia. "IQMS Asia is suited to support this market because we can provide sales, support and implementation services in the local language," he explained. "Our knowledge of local customs helps our customers bring their ERP projects to a successful conclusion in the shortest time possible."
This month, IQMS began implementing EnterpriseIQ for the Shanghai operations for two new customers, Elbridge, N.Y.-based Tessy Plastics, and Swiss company Mikron. IQMS expects five more customers to come online in the next 12 months.
