Payroll outsourcer to use Zycus solution as foundation for gaining detailed visibility into enterprise spend processed through Ariba Analysis

Princeton, NJ February 15, 2005 Payroll outsourcer Automatic Data Processing is set to use an artificial intelligence-based commodity classification solution from Zycus for driving detailed spend visibility across its enterprise wide spend.

Roseland, N.J.-based ADP will use AutoClass, an integral part of Zycus' Spend Data Management product suite, to classify spend data (item descriptions and suppliers) at a granular level prior to analysis on ADP's Ariba platform.

"Companies like ADP have reinforced Zycus' vision," said Sandip Maiti, vice president of marketing at Zycus. "The time for large global organizations to set up an automated spend data management platform for better sourcing and procurement has arrived. We are glad that ADP has chosen to use Zycus' data quality tools to get detailed visibility into their enterprise spend."

Zycus said that its software suite was designed to solve the data quality problems that have resulted in poor spend visibility, ineffective purchasing compliance and low adoption of e-procurement by providing automated spend/master data classification and enrichment software tool, which can plug in with existing IT infrastructure like enterprise resource planning (ERP), data warehouse and e-procurement applications.
