Retailer migrates to next-generation value added network, electronic data interchange

Atlanta — March 10, 2005 — Goody's Family Clothing Inc., a retailer of moderately priced family apparel, said this week it has selected Inovis as its preferred provider for electronic data interchange (EDI) network services.

Using Inovis' products, including its value-added network (VAN), Goody's said it expects to be able to efficiently manage the flow of critical e-commerce information for the global trading vendor community.

Building on its long-standing relationship with Inovis Catalogue, Goody's will also migrate to Inovis' next-generation VAN. The new network provides an engine for end-to-end control and visibility of B2B transactions and trading partner relationships.

In addition, the new Inovis VAN offers a customer portal. Inovisworks.net serves as the single interface for all Inovis interactions, providing round-the-clock customer support for all of Inovis' offerings, including VAN and managed services as well as software solutions.

Rounding out the Inovis platform, Goody's has purchased BizManager BizLink, a B2B gateway solution for enterprise B2B integration (B2Bi), messaging and connectivity. Goody's said the combined resources will help it to meet its data synchronization needs, ensure communication with its global trading community and drive improved supply chain efficiency.

"In order to best serve our customers, we strive to lead the industry in efficient business operations," said James Walker, director Quick Response, Goody's. "Partnering with Inovis to maintain data integrity and enhance relationships across our trading community are mission critical elements of that strategy. We chose Inovis as our preferred provider based on the proven reliability of its solutions, its deep retail industry expertise and the company's ability to provide Goody's with a complete end-to-end solution."
