Partners with BMH to offer human resource information system as part of Vantage solution
Bedford, MA — March 15, 2005 — Solution providers Epicor Software Corporation and BMH have unveiled a new collaborative product that integrates BMH's Open4 human resource information system (HRIS) with Epicor's Vantage manufacturing products for mid-market companies.
The new module, Vantage HRIS, complements Vantage by integrating Open4's product, with its support for such human resource (HR) functions as applicant tracking, benefit programs management, workforce training and development, and simplifying complex calculations such as union dues and benefits.
The two providers said the new module will help Epicor's customers comply with ever-changing governmental regulations such as Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Veterans Employment and Training Service (VETS), Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and Affirmative Action Program reporting (AAP).
"As part of our strategy to provide mid-market companies with a single source solution for their enterprise software needs, Vantage HRMS will empower our customers to streamline human resources processes for more cost effective and strategic management, further strengthening our already robust offering to manufacturers," said John Hiraoka, senior vice president of worldwide marketing for Epicor.
Hiraoka said Epicor selected Open4 to power the new Vantage HRMS offering because of BMH's vision of providing an integrated human resource information system with the full functionality and flexibility to support manufacturers.
Vantage HRMS is available with Epicor Vantage, a manufacturing system that addresses the core business needs of make-to-order (MTO) and mixed-mode manufacturers with built-in workflows managing the order cycle from marketing and sales through production and planning, sourcing and procurement, installation and service, through to financial recognition, Epicor said.
The Employee Self Service (eSS) portal is an add-on module to Vantage HRMS designed for employee satisfaction as well as operational efficiency. The eSS portal enables a company to allow real-time employee access to training history, benefits updates and general employee information.
Both Epicor Vantage and Vantage HRMS utilize Progress OpenEdge technology from the OpenEdge Division, an operating unit of Progress Software Corporation and a supplier of technology for building business applications.
