Berwin Leighton Paisner seeks to improve the efficiency of business processes with software from FloSuite
Fife, UK — April 27, 2005 — The London-based law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) said it has selected FloSuite BPM (business process management) as its foundation for business process modeling and process management.
BLP employs 938 people, including 449 solicitors, of whom 141 are partners in the firm, and turnover of over UK$102 million. A recognized technology innovator within the legal sector, in 2004 BLP was voted Law firm of the Year at The Lawyer awards, and the company's Janet Day was named IT Director of the Year by the British Computer Society (BCS).
Day said the law firm selected FloSuite after reviewing a wide variety of products on the market — not just those focusing on the legal sector. "The selection took into account the technologies behind the toolkit, the flexibility it offered in design and development, the scope for rapid implementation of integrated business processes, and our confidence that we could work well with the FloSuite team," she said. "The decision is a natural progression in BLP's continuous drive to improve the efficiency of our business processes. We are all very excited at the opportunity this presents us to enhance our legal service offerings as well as make internal processes more straightforward."
The solution will integrate third-party systems at BLP, which include the Elite Practice Management System, InterAction Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Interwoven WorkSite Document Management.
