Milwaukee, WI — May 5, 2005 — Supply chain execution (SCE) specialist Catalyst International has launched its new CatalystComplete 9.2 SCE solution suite release, which supports the core technology stack of IBM and features updated composite applications that can be integrated into Catalyst WMS, SAP WM and other warehouse management solutions.

The new solution suite is compatible with IBM DB2 Universal Database, IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM WebSphere MQ, AIX operating system and other products, Catalyst said. It offers expanded functionality for labor management — which typically represents the largest portion of distribution costs — as well as for transportation management and slotting.

In addition, the RFID capabilities of CatalystComplete 9.2 include customizable electronic product code (EPC) and U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) tag assignments, upgraded filtering, support for additional RFID and related devices and new process and event management capabilities. The SCE solution suite also offers device management integration to the SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure.

"Our latest solution suite combines modular flexibility and user-specified capabilities with ease of integration with IBM, SAP WM and other technologies," said James Treleaven, president and CEO of Catalyst. "CatalystComplete further reinforces our commitment to give customers practical solutions for optimizing the value of their supply chains, no matter which technology platform they decide to use."

Catalyst's Enterprise Labor Management and Reporting, a tool for controlling labor expenses, includes capabilities for multi-shift support, department level reporting, idle time tracking and analysis, and performance feedback for online users.

The Transportation Management module facilitates integrated transportation planning, execution and auditing for multiple distribution models (traditional and flow-through) and transportation methods, Catalyst said. It allows customers to use multiple parcel manifesting solutions and improve their performance on compliance, dynamic routing and consolidation, according to the solution provider.

Catalyst's integrated Slotting solution provides a rules-based methodology to optimize inventory positioning for outbound distribution. It optimizes replenishment activities by taking into consideration other warehouse tasks and can improve productivity by up to 25 percent, Catalyst said.
