New product designed for any warehouse management or ERP system
Austin, TX — December 6, 2004 — ClearOrbit, a provider of real-time supply chain execution (SCE) software solutions, has released its new X.LM (Extended Label Manager) software, which is designed to simplify bar code label and radio frequency identification (RFID) print management.
According to ClearOrbit, X.LM offers bar code and RFID label compliance management software for companies of any size using any warehouse management system (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Its open architecture can exchange extensible markup language (XML) or use direct APIs, offering connectivity from any WMS or ERP to all bar code label printers and RFID printers.
Moreover, the company said, X.LM serves as a central repository for all the current drivers needed to run these diverse devices while isolating the ERP and WMS applications and business process from the effects of any hardware changes.
X.LM is available in two versions, X.LM Gold and X.LM Silver. Both versions provide compatibly with barcode formats for warehouse, auto, retail, healthcare, General Motors, Ford and Wal-Mar. Also, both software solutions are driven by rules-based printing and label selection, and provide Web printing from remote facilities for global drop-ship management.
X.LM Gold has the added features of RFID printing and can integrate business processes with barcode and RFID tagging for electronic product code (EPC) compliance.
