Trimble announced Trimble TMS, a modular, cloud-native TMS designed to command the entire transportation operations lifecycle from order-to-cash.

“Our customers are facing unprecedented demands, and our goal with the next-gen, cloud-native TMS for the AI age is to give them a decisive competitive advantage,” says Michael Kornhauser, sector VP, transportation and logistics at Trimble. “We developed this solution to work with our existing TMS solutions, ensuring a smooth, modular transition that protects their current investments while future-proofing their operations. Trimble TMS enables our customers to take targeted action, freeing up their teams to focus on more complex, value-added work and truly ‘level up’ their business.”

Key takeaways:

·        By embedding AI across the TMS — from grading incoming tenders and selecting the right freight to forecasting network load balance up to seven days out — Trimble TMS empowers customers to automate manual processes, accelerate strategic decision-making and amplify their teams’ productivity.

·        Trimble TMS is a modern, cloud-native solution that integrates with Trimble’s existing TMS solutions and leverages AI and machine learning to automate complex workflows and provide predictive insights.

·        Trimble TMS adapts to customers’ specific business needs with flexible implementation. It will be available as a complete, end-to-end solution, or as modules that can be implemented individually for use with one of Trimble’s existing TMS solutions.

·        Trimble TMS empowers a wide range of users and job functions with AI features — from frontline customer service representatives to leadership.

·        The solution will feature seven modules, each with embedded AI agents and workflows, to streamline the entire transportation operations cycle, from initial order acceptance and AI-assisted load building to optimized planning that intelligently matches shipments with the best available drivers.

·        It also manages fleet readiness and provides live tracking and visibility, using driver data to generate highly-accurate ETAs.

·        Modules include order, capacity, supply-demand, status, back office and control center.

·        Trimble TMS also automates key back-office processes such as contracts, rating and settlements while delivering high-level KPIs and metrics for managers to assess business health and performance.
