ECI Software Solutions acquired Amper Technologies, Inc., a manufacturing execution system (MES) company that gives factories real-time visibility into their shop floors. The acquisition strengthens ECI’s commitment to AI innovation, adding Amper’s predictive, AI-powered insights that help manufacturers run more efficiently.

“Manufacturers need clear, real-time insight into what’s happening on their shop floors, and Amper delivers that through simple, modern, and AI-powered technology,” says Trevor Gruenewald, CEO of ECI Software Solutions. “By bringing the FactoryOS platform into ECI, we can connect shop floor intelligence with our ERP systems in a way not previously possible. This gives customers a unified, end-to-end view of their operations and a smarter, more efficient production environment powered by modern AI capabilities.”

Key takeaways:

·        Amper’s FactoryOS platform combines fast deployment with real-time machine, job, and labor insights to close the gap between ERP planning and production. The system connects to any machine on the shop floor, regardless of age or brand, surfacing issues automatically, identifying bottlenecks, and using AI-driven insights to guide decision-making. With the MES now part of ECI’s portfolio, manufacturers gain the missing link between planning and execution, creating a seamless workflow and predictable production experience.

·        Amper’s FactoryOS strengthens ECI’s manufacturing suite with an AI-powered copilot that summarizes and predicts performance and issues, updates progress automatically, and guides operators using real-time machine, job, and team data; smart scheduling that sequences jobs automatically, flags delays, and shows live job progress so teams can adjust in the moment and stay on track; live machine insights that capture uptime, downtime, OEE, scrap, and cycle counts from any machine, giving teams instant visibility without manual tracking; and labor analytics that reveal workforce performance, highlight training needs, and support better staffing and productivity decisions.

“This acquisition is an important milestone for Amper and the manufacturers we serve,” says Brad Bullington, CEO of Amper Technologies. “Joining ECI gives us the scale and acceleration needed to increase the operational efficiency delivered to our customers. With ECI’s manufacturing expertise and our shared commitment to solving real challenges on the shop floor, we’re ready to bring even greater value to our team, our technology, and our customers.”
