Santa Clara, Calif.—April 25, 2012—Intelleflex Inc., a provider of on-demand data visibility solutions, partnered with DeltaTRAK Inc. to enable the cold chain  management solutions provider to extend its solutions portfolio by offering the Intelleflex XC3 Technology-based tags and readers under the DeltaTRAK brand. Under the agreement, DeltaTRAK will offer XC3 Technology-based fixed, cellular and hand-held readers and TMT-8500 temperature monitoring tags to customers globally. It will also incorporate Intelleflex’s ZEST Data Services into its solution offerings.

“The importance of food safety, brand protection and compliance with new and future regulations has never been greater than it is today,” said Frederick Wu, President and Chief Executive Officer, DeltaTRAK. “The partnership of DeltaTRAK and Intelleflex makes it possible for us to integrate modern XC3 Technology RFID products into DeltaTRAK’s applications and solutions for our customers.”

XC3 Technology readers and tags deliver on-demand data visibility for tracking and monitoring the temperature and condition of temperature-sensitive products, such as food and pharmaceuticals. Products can be monitored and managed throughout the cold chain without requiring unloading of pallets or opening of containers, while also addressing government and industry regulations for traceability, safety and quality.

“Providing customers with actionable data about the condition of their products as they move through the supply chain is critical to improving decision making that reduces waste and ensures the delivered quality and safety of temperature-sensitive products,” said Peter Mehring, President and Chief Executive Officer, Intelleflex. “The partnership with DeltaTRAK, an industry leader with over 22 years of experience utilizing advanced technology to successfully address their customers’ business requirements, validates the value of XC3 Technology-enabled solutions for improving cold chain operations.”

XC3 Technology-based readers and tags support both the ISO/IEC 18000-6:2010 standard for Class 3 battery-assisted passive RFID and the EPCglobal C1G2 standard for passive RFID, and are distinguished for their ability to reliably read and write in RF-unfriendly environments, including through metals or liquids, or with items in motion. The products enable condition monitoring of individual products on loaded pallets or totes from a range of up to 300 feet and can penetrate packaging, allowing operators to make informed decisions on product shipment, inventory and rotation that can reduce shrink in perishable foods and guarantee efficacy of pharmaceuticals.
