Elcom, the e-procurement and e-marketplace solutions subsidiary of Elcom International, Inc. that targets mid-market companies with hosted solutions, and i2 Technologies, announced that they have entered into a partnership. As a result of this partnership, i2 and elcom will implement solutions for mid-sized companies and further expand the i2 footprint into the elcom market space.
Elcom International, Inc. will implement i2 TradeMatrix Fulfill Solution to augment Elcom Services Group, Inc.'s (the logistics subsidiary of Elcom International) ability to provide more value to its logistics, product fulfillment and outsourcing services offering. In addition, elcom will participate in i2's TradeMatrix Network API. TradeMatrix Network API provides a standard interface to help companies connect their TradeMatrix marketplaces to other private and public marketplaces. The marketplace-to-marketplace connectivity will enable businesses to participate in the global economy that extends beyond their enterprises and traditional industry boundaries.
"This partnership reflects i2's desire to enhance elcoms fulfillment capabilities and i2's marketing efforts toward the emerging mid-market," said Rod Strata, i2 industry vice president of logistics and fulfillment. "We believe elcom's technologies merge well with i2's offerings, and can give i2 another option to serve a broader spectrum of companies interested in automating remotely hosted e-business solutions."
Robert J. Crowell, Elcom International's Chairman & CEO, said, "Our strategic partnership with i2 is another major milestone for elcom, as we establish ourselves as the leader in rapidly-deployable, hosted solutions that enable mid-market companies to more efficiently transact over the Internet. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with i2."
