Mellott Implements IFS

Aggregate equipment and plants company looking to streamline service and maintenance

Chicago August 19, 2002 Mellott Enterprises (MEI), a supplier of material handling and processing equipment and services to the aggregate industry, has implemented software from solution provider IFS to manage the equipment service and maintenance it provides to its customers.

Following a one-week IFS training session, a MEI project team completed the implementation of IFS Applications for Service Management in 40 days.

"The IFS training was extremely valuable and has greatly improved our productivity," said Phil Oney, MEI project manager. "Since we originally implemented IFS applications a year and a half ago, the system has helped us streamline our business. The addition of the service management software has allowed us to take the next step in enhancing our customer service."

"IFS Applications for Service Management is the perfect solution for companies such as Mellott Enterprises because we designed it specifically to meet the needs of service operations," said Terje Vangbo, IFS North America president. "Since it integrates seamlessly with the other IFS components that the company has already purchased, MEI is achieving even greater efficiencies in the management of its service and maintenance processes."

MEI is based in Warfordsburg, Pa.
