Clark, NJ August 22, 2002 Global eProcure, a provider of e-sourcing services, said it has been awarded the General Services Administration (GSA) contract for online reverse auctions for both full service (hosted) and self service (desktop) solutions.
Global eProcure said the contract is going to help buyers from various federal agencies reduce procurement costs for both goods and services through the online reverse auction services provided by Global eProcure. For the hosted auction services, Global eProcure will help facilitate the process, including assistance in solicitation development, supply market analysis, supplier training, bid/lot strategy, managing the operations of the bidding event and total cost (best value) analysis. For the desktop (or self-service) option, Global eProcure will provide the tool, technology, training and support to various buyers to perform all these services on their own.
The GSA said it has awarded the contract based on evaluation of both technical capabilities (technology and past performance) and price. Roopa Makhija, President, Global eProcure, added, "We are excited about assisting various federal agencies in reducing their procurement costs and streamlining the purchasing process through this GSA contract."
