Dallas, Texas September 9, 2002 The viaLink Co. has announced that Coors Brewing Co., a viaLink customer since 1999, renewed and expanded its agreement for synchronization services to include the Molson network. No financial terms were disclosed.
Last year Coors and Molson Inc. formed a joint venture to import, market, sell and distribute Molson's brands of beer in the United States. Brands that will now employ viaLink's item, price and promotion synchronization include Molson Canadian, Molson Golden and Molson Ice, as well as future Molson brands that may be developed for export to U.S. markets.
syncLink, which is used by more than 800 suppliers, distributors, brokers and retailers, reduces invoice errors, rework and deductions, according to the viaLink. The company said syncLink also allows companies to leverage their legacy systems for e-commerce, and provides a standards-compliant entree to advanced supply chain solutions like scan-based promotions and collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment (CPFR).
The viaLink Co. provides advanced e-commerce services to the retail/CPG and foodservice industries.
