Tewksbury, MA November 21, 2002 Solution provider Yantra Corp. has announced that ScanSource Inc., a distributor of AIDC (automatic identification and data capture), point of sale and telephony products for the reseller market, implemented Yantra Warehouse Management System (WMS) and the Yantra Platform.
The WMS and Platform are components of the Yantra 5x product suite, and ScanSource said it hopes they will help their company to increase productivity, obtain tighter inventory control and lower costs.
ScanSource and its distribution division, ChannelMax, explained that the Yantra implementation was ordered because of the solutions' scalability and flexibility, meeting current and future order volumes and evolving customer needs.
Prior to implementing Yantra, ScanSource managed its warehouse and fulfillment processes with an ERP system. Yantra said its solutions enable ScanSource to automate warehouse processes and provide real-time inventory visibility, whether the inventory resides in the warehouse or is in transit.
