Future Three Upgrade

Auto industry supply chain specialist updates supplier metrics and connectivity in Eclipz solution

Northville, MI December 30, 2002 Future Three Software, a provider of supply chain management solutions for the automotive industry, has released version 4 of its Eclipz solution, offering upgraded supplier metrics and connectivity, better event and exception management, and improved functionality in order management and fulfillment.

The software company said that Eclipz version 4 provides tools for measuring the overall performance of a company's supply chain, with the ability to analyze individual suppliers. In addition, improved event and exception monitoring through an "event management console" can help Eclipz users to identify problem areas and respond in order to avoid costly events such as premium freight or stock-outs.

Users can also gain greater visibility of production parts procurement throughout their extended supply chain, helping them better manage their own inventories and potentially producing cost savings and more efficient production runs.

Karen Phillips, systems analyst at Pollak Corporation's Switch Products Division, which was a beta site for version 4, gave the upgrade a positive review. "Not only did this latest release of Eclipz address some of the enhancements we requested, but some of the new features will help us better work with our own suppliers to improve efficiency across our entire supply chain," Phillips said.

Features in this release include new VAN connectivity to connect with select value added networks; a new supplier performance module to communicate supplier metric statistics out to the supply base; PPM metrics to communicate parts per million defect statistics out to the supply base; AETC request tracking, which tracks premium freight authorizations between a buyer and supplier; and enhanced alerting features, new charting and graphing tools, and a new user interface and portal.

Eclipz is accessed through a Web browser.
