Atlanta, GA — March 20, 2003 — CoreHarbor Inc., a managed service provider, has been awarded a three-year contract to provide global polymer services company PolyOne Corp. with managed application support services for their existing Ariba Buyer solution.
Under the Agreement, CoreHarbor will provide PolyOne with application monitoring, management and support services to maintain and utilize its existing Ariba Buyer solution. PolyOne's Ariba Buyer solution will remain behind PolyOne's firewalls to leverage its original investments and existing IT infrastructure.
"With the managed application support services PolyOne is able to utilize its existing infrastructure investments while gaining additional value through CoreHarbor's expertise and knowledge," said Ken Smith, chief information officer at PolyOne.
CoreHarbor said its managed application support services give PolyOne access to on-staff Ariba certified engineers to manage and support the Ariba solution. Services include application updates, upgrades and customizations; catalog management and supplier enablement support services; Ariba-specific application monitoring and certified help-desk support; and integration development and support.
"Companies like PolyOne are outsourcing significant but non-strategic business solutions to achieve greater cost savings, mitigate technology risks and provide a higher level of support for employees," stated Tom Stallings, president at CoreHarbor. He added that with the managed application support service model, PolyOne make the most efficient use of its IT resources.
