Workers at a clothing distribution center, supplying large retailers like Amazon, Macy's and Walmart, walked off the job last week to protest low wages at the facility.

Workers at Freeze warehouse, also known as Central Mills Inc., walked out of the distribution center on Ridge Road at 8 a.m., alleging unfair labor practices, according to a statement from their union, the Laundry Distribution and Food Service Joint Board, Workers United SEIU.

The union said long-term employees have been earning wages less than $9.50 an hour, with many grossing less than $370 for a full-time week. The walk out lasted two hours.
