Amazon India’s Logistics Branch to Reduce Delivery Partner Payouts

The logistics arm of Amazon India, Amazon Transport Services, has reduced payouts to corner stores that double up as delivery partners in order to control costs and consolidate its network.

The stores, which were include as part of pilot project in 2015 to increase Amazon's logistics reach, act as pickup points, receiving deliveries on behalf of Amazon’s customers. There aren ow nearly 13,000 stores across 65 cities are a part of the network.

Amazon is looking to consolidate the program, however, because the large costs associated with managing the vast network of stores and regional partners.
