Whip Around and RTA Fleet Management Software have recently announced a new integration that allows their mutual customers to improve their maintenance and compliance processes.
Whip Around’s customizable electronic DVIR integrates seamlessly with RTA’s work order management and maintenance scheduling solution to connect drivers and mechanics in real time. Drivers can take photos of defects and add comments using Whip Around’s voice-to-text technology so mechanics can instantly access richer information via the RTA work order management system.
Mileage from Whip Around’s proprietary Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology flows straight into RTA to trigger maintenance reminders, helping mechanics keep on top of fleet servicing. RTA’s powerful work order management technology allows mechanics to manage parts and inventory. Any updates to the work order, flow back into Whip Around for fleet managers and drivers to see, ensuring that the FMCSA 396.11 DVIR regulation is met.
James Colley, Co-Founder of Whip Around, said: “We see RTA as a logical partner in our push to integrate smart technology platforms with Whip Around to provide deeper capabilities to our customers.”
“This integration enables us to advance more powerful and predictive insights for our clients as part of Hallcon’s broader business intelligence platform,” said Rob Balon, Hallcon’s Senior Vice President of Operations and CIO.
The enhanced maintenance and compliance solution from Whip Around and RTA also helps companies that operate DOT registered vehicles stay compliant in an increasingly regulated environment. The automation saves them time and helps improve their CSA scores.
