Worldwide Electricity Provider Chooses Ivalua Buyer V8

The software manages the procurement process—from purchase requests to consultation, negotiation, attribution and finalization

Redwood City, Calif.April 17, 2014—With more than 150,000 employees and 37 million customers across all continents, EDF, a worldwide electricity provider from generation to transport and distribution, decided to purchase Ivalua Buyer V8. The latest version of Ivalua's e-purchasing software can manage the company’s procurement process—from handling purchase requests to the consultation, negotiation, attribution and finalization stages, including the signature of the contract.

EDF's goal was to update its e-purchasing tool by giving it a group dimension and pursuing the optimization of its purchasing process.

Ivalua Buyer 8 provides the group's buyers and influencers with a collaborative tool, allowing them to manage and track the purchasing process, while offering its suppliers a referencing portal where contract documents and consultation reports are available.

According to Ivalua, eventually more than 5,000 buyers and influencers, and tens of thousands of suppliers are going to use Ivalua Buyer 8 every day.

Dan Amzallag, CEO of Ivalua, said, “Our unique Flex software-as-a-service (SaaS) implementation approach continues to be a key differentiator to our customers to win such deals.”
