Trace One Opens Boston Headquarters

E-collaborative solutions provider brings expertise in faster, safer private-label product development to U.S. retailers and manufacturers

Boston—Sept. 18, 2012—Trace One, a global e-collaborative solutions provider for private label product development, opened its North American headquarters in Boston.

Store brands in North America represent an important and growing revenue stream for merchants. The need for speed in delivering private-label products on shelves, combined with the imperative of more control on the product development process to comply with safety and security regulations, creates an environment where collaboration between manufacturers and retailers is crucial. Trace One’s solutions enable retailers and manufacturers to collaborate in real-time on a SaaS platform to more easily improve and monitor the quality of private-label product portfolios as well as trace and comply with regulations such as the Food Safety Modernization Act.

Trace One invented the concept of using collaborative platforms in the private-label industry and has already been successful in bringing the benefits of collaborative product development management to more than 30 retailers and 12,500 manufacturers in over 110 countries,” said Jerome Malavoy, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Trace One. “We are now excited to bring this expertise and savoir-faire in North America.”

Malavoy and Marc Bonnamour, Chief Operation Officer relocated to Boston from the Paris headquarters to further grow Trace One’s footprint in the U.S. and lead the North American strategy. This move builds on Trace One’s acquisition of Agentrics PLM in January 2012.  This acquisition brought a strong sales and delivery team in North America adding clients like Walgreens, Supervalu, and Safeway to a portfolio of clients already including Carrefour, Sara Lee, Mark & Spencer and Procter & Gamble.
