Components distributor aims to help expand, support manufacturer's worldwide customer base
Chandler, AZ June 21, 2005 Avnet Electronics Marketing has joined the global distribution network for Microchip Technology, a provider of microcontroller and analog semiconductors, the two companies announced recently.
As one of the of the world's largest technology marketing, distribution and services companies, Avnet Electronics Marketing offers design chain and supply chain services for embedded engineers worldwide.
"Avnet's large customer base of electronic original equipment manufacturers and electronic manufacturing service providers in 68 countries allows Microchip to significantly extend its reach to hundreds of thousands of potential new customers," Avnet said in announcing the agreement.
"Because customers are our focus, Microchip maintains a world-class sales and support network to meet their design and manufacturing needs," said Rick Bosshardt, vice president of worldwide distribution sales at Microchip. "By adding Avnet Electronics Marketing to our distribution network, Microchip's customers in all geographies can now utilize one of the world's largest technology service and support providers."
