Internet-based health management system to serve as front-end for administrative system
Nashville, TN, and Grand Junction, CO — May 6, 2004 — HealthTrio, a provider of e-health and core business solutions for the managed care industry, and Rocky Mountain Health Plans, a not-for-profit health plan serving approximately 120,000 members in Colorado, today announced that Rocky Mountain Health Plans will offer new online services to its providers and members through HealthTrio connect, an Internet-based health management system.
The health plan will begin implementing the HealthTrio connect provider portal immediately, and will launch the HealthTrio connect member portal shortly thereafter.
"We selected HealthTrio following an in-depth comparison of systems," said John Hopkins, president and CEO of Rocky Mountain Health Plans. "The HealthTrio connect system was the best overall match for our business requirements."
Using HealthTrio connect, providers perform a complete suite of administrative transactions, such as viewing claim status, authorization and eligibility transactions online.
A comprehensive provider directory is also integrated into the online environment. The HealthTrio connect member portal provides members with self-service Internet access for administrative functions, such as looking up benefit and claim information, requesting ID cards, changing doctors and making demographic changes.
In addition, members have access to personalized online health management tools and services that can help them better manage personal health and wellness. All transactions conducted through HealthTrio connect are HIPAA-compliant and secure, thus assuring privacy and confidentiality.
"Understanding each user's needs, whether for a physician or member, is a critical component in building and executing a successful e-business strategy," said Ralph Korpman, M.D., president and CEO of HealthTrio. "We applaud Rocky Mountain Health Plans' decision to use HealthTrio connect as the platform for their e-business initiatives and look forward to providing its providers and members with online services that meet their needs."
