Manufacturer deploys business performance management solution to speed information into hands of executives
Mountain View, CA — May 28, 2004 — International Truck and Engine is using a business performance management solution from Alphablox to increase its visibility into the company's financial and operational processes and speed information into the hands of its executives.
The operating company of Navistar International, International Truck and Engine is the largest combined producer of commercial trucks, school buses and mid-range diesel engines.
Prior to implementing a solution from Alphablox, International struggled to manage performance data across multiple internal divisions and provide critical reports to group managers and corporate executives. For example, International's month-end financial reporting process required as long as two weeks to complete manually.
Using the Alphablox Analytics platform, International developed a key business indicator (KBI) portal to provide more than 500 executives, managers and analysts in financial and operational groups with access to timely, actionable business performance information and drill-down report detail.
According to Alphablox, the KBI portal has enabled International to significantly streamline its business processes and proactively fix potential issues before they occur, resulting in increased productivity gains and significant cost savings.
Within the KBI portal, users can view operational data displayed through more than 130 key performance indicators (KPIs). Alphablox' analytic capability provides managers with access and visibility into these metrics.
In addition, users can manage and store comments at cell, page or application level, facilitating collaboration throughout the organization and enabling closer alignment of operational and financial objectives, Alphablox said.
