Food service company taps EFS Network to build greater collaboration with suppliers, improve service
Livermore, CA — August 26, 2004 — Glazier Fine Foods is set to deploy an order management solution from EFS Network in a move to build greater collaboration with its suppliers and improve its service.
Established in 1936 and headquartered in Houston, Glazier Foods currently services more than 4,300 customers, ranging from school districts and national chain accounts to nursing homes and hospitals.
The company has elected to integrate the ITN Order Management System for collaboration between Glazier Foods and its suppliers, according to an announcement from EFS, which is a division of iTradeNetwork (ITN).
"The key to Glazier's success over the last six decades has been superior customer service," said Bill Mathis, senior vice president at Glazier Foods. "We achieve that superior service by using technology and the convenience of the Internet to provide our customers with the most timely and reliable information on their orders. We believe the ITN OMS Solution is a compliment to our company objectives of superior service and sales."
iTradeNetwork is a privately held company that provides collaborative workflow solutions for procurement, logistics, promotion, demand forecast, vendor-managed inventory, financial services and content, as well as contract and management rebate (CARMA) for the food industry and integration to customers legacy systems.
ITN said that 11 of the top 15 North American retailers and various foodservice companies are using its solutions.
