Automotive aftermarket supplier taps Aras PLM for real-time project coordination and engineering change management

Lawrence, MA — November 18, 2004 — Automotive aftermarket supplier Sonnax Industries has tapped a product lifecycle management (PLM) solution from Aras Corporation for real-time project coordination and engineering change management.

Sonnax has provided transmission parts to the automotive aftermarket since 1978. The privately held company is based in Bellows Falls, Vt.

After reviewing several other solutions, Sonnax selected Aras PLM for solution's functionality, the incremental deployment approach and the low total cost of ownership, which Aras said is significantly less than conventional PLM systems.

"Managing the licensing and deployment of enterprise software can be a major headache for an IT organization," said Jeff Loewer, vice president of IT at Sonnax. "The Aras model lets us accurately predict our future investment and address evolving functional requirements."

"Our most important goal is and has always been customer satisfaction," said Neil Joseph, CEO and founder of Sonnax. "Aras helps Sonnax continuously elevate our commitment to excellence through superior product quality and service and gives us even more time for personal relationships with our customers."
