Medical device manufacturer to use solutions for SCM, corporate performance management, CRM, project management and FDA compliance
Chicago — September, 29, 2003 — Micro Stamping Corp. of Somerset, N.J., has signed a contract to implement business software from IFS, which develops and supplies component-based business applications.
According to IFS, Micro Stamping is a Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-certified, full-service contract manufacturer of precision medical and surgical components, subassemblies and finished class-critical implant devices for the medical devices industry. The company also fabricates component parts and assemblies for the automotive industry.
Micro Stamping said it would use IFS' solutions for supply chain management, corporate performance management, customer relationship management (CRM), project management, and FDA compliance. The company will also use IFS' Web portals to allow personnel throughout the enterprise to access, share and analyze business information in real time.
"We have 1,500 products that we engineer to order, build and then warehouse for scheduled release to our medical devices customers, and we treat each individual account as if it were a separate project," said Frank Semcer, owner of Micro Stamping Corp. "IFS' integrated manufacturing and project management applications will give us greater control over our production environment, allowing us to minimize inventory and increase profitability."
IFS said it solutions include standard functionality needed to comply with complex FDA regulations, as well as fully integrated device lifecycle management to reduce costs and improve time-to-market, replenishment processing and cross-operational communications.
In addition to Micro Stamping Corp., IFS customers in the medical devices industry include Thoratec, Alden Products, Aircast, MED-TEC, Neuropace, NxStage, Value Plastics and Neoventa.
