Webango appoints Phil Ranger as CFO

Santa Clara, CA  October 5, 2001  Webango Inc., the leading provider of e-sourcing solutions for Global 2000 organizations, today announced the appointment of Phil Ranger as chief financial officer (CFO) to the Webango team. Ranger's responsibilities will include financial management and overseeing operations to support the company as it expands its base of enterprise customers.


Ranger brings more than 20 years of financial and business management experience to Webango. As CFO of Inference Corp., he led the company through multiple profitable quarters and played a significant role in the company's acquisition by eGain Communications last year. Prior to Inference, he served as CFO for ULTRADATA Corp. and has held financial and information management leadership positions at Triad Systems Corp., Pacific Telesis Group, and US Sprint.

Ranger holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin with an emphasis in accounting. He has been an advisor to multiple start-ups and has served as CFO for both public and private companies.
