Procuri finalizes two-year subscription agreement with Eastman Kodak

ATLANTA October 11, 2001 Procuri Inc., a provider of strategic e-sourcing technology and services, recently announced a two-year master subscription and access agreement with Eastman Kodak Company.

Procuri and Kodak have been working together since June in an extensive e-sourcing pilot program during which Kodak evaluated Procuri's e-sourcing platform offerings through nearly a dozen live collaborative and online bidding events. With cost of goods sold exceeding $6 billion annually, Kodak plans to use Procuri's self-service e-sourcing offerings for its domestic and international operations.

Simplicity is the cornerstone of the Kodak brand.  Our business is all about making it simpler for people to capture better images. We try to extend that same power of simplicity to our internal processes, including e-commerce and e-sourcing, said Timothy J. Smith, worldwide strategy manager for worldwide purchasing.  After an intensive pilot program and an extensive evaluation of competing e-sourcing technologies, services and platforms, we selected Procuri because of its easy-to-master advanced functionality, simplicity of global implementation and measurable results. During the pilot, we were extremely impressed with the company's record of execution and professionalism.

The agreement with Kodak underscores the major driver of our success in the e-sourcing marketplace:  At a time when corporate profits are under pressure, Procuri offers true value in its solution. We're the fast track to delivering the promise of e-procurement to the bottom line, said Mark F. Morel, Sr., Procuri's president and chief executive officer. As part of its broad commitment to e-business initiatives, Kodak expects e-procurement to generate measurable profit improvements through cost savings. Like all of our customers, Kodak selected Procuri as the team-and I emphasize team, not just the technology that can help them achieve these goals.
