Covington, KY October 16, 2002 Optimum Pay Inc., a provider of electronic payment services, this week announced that it acquired a new customer in the Cincinnati marketplace, as well as a new chief operating officer.
The company said The Metropolitan Club, located in Covington, Ky., a not-for-profit organization created for regional business and community leaders to socially dine and conduct business, has recently hired Optimum Pay to provide the club and its members with complete online billing functionality, as well as the Optimum Pay Email Delivered Invoicing and Payment Service, an invoicing service designed to use e-mail to send and request payments over the Internet.
The new service, scheduled to go live on January 1, 2003, will allow all Metropolitan Club members to receive their account balance via e-mail, review their statement online and pay their monthly statement through the Metropolitan Club's Web site.
Additionally, Robert Wardell joined the Optimum Pay executive team as its new chief operating officer (COO). Optimum Pay said Wardell brings over 25 years of experience in the technology industry, including extensive start-up experience with firms such as Tolerant Systems (now Veritas Software) and BEA Systems.
He has also been responsible for such things as business process analysis and Web-based process re-engineering projects for customer relationship management (CRM) outsourcing clients, hardware and software infrastructure architecture design, and solution design efforts relative to electronic CRM outsourcing.
Randy Barker, president and CEO of Optimum Pay, was optimistic about the company's future outlook. "With the hiring of Robert Wardell and the signing of the Metropolitan Club, Optimum Pay is positioned nicely to achieve the goals we set for ourselves in our first year of operation," he said.
