Walmart is thinning its corporate workforce as well as restructuring their store hierarchy by eliminating co-managers from certain stores.

Reports say nearly 3,500 co-managers will be cut based on their store’s sales revenue. However, some co-managers are being reviewed. Those who are ready to move to a store manager position will be able to move to that role sooner due to the restructure.

In the midst of job cuts, Walmart plans on adding 1,700 assistant manager positions.
