
The rise of e-commerce business transactions has not found popularity among small business owners, as a new report shows many insist the use of the Internet does not play a significant role in their sales.
Nearly one in three small business owners from around the country reported not having a company website for their business, according to a May 2015 survey conducted by the SurePayroll Smart Business Scorecard on small businesses in Philadelphia and around the country.
While 72 percent have a company website, only 26 percent are using it for e-commerce, according to the report, which the payroll provider issued to reflect the trends affecting businesses with 10 or less employees.
