Chicago—July 30, 2013—Supply chain management company DSC Logistics, announced the expansion of its U.S. network with the construction of a state-of-the-art food/CPG Retail Consolidation Logistics Center in the new logistics park in Moreno Valley, Calif. Kraft Foods Group, one of North America's largest consumer packaged food and beverage companies, will be the first customer in the building, scheduled for a late 2013 opening.
DSC's newest Logistics Center, with leading edge security, food safety, C-TPAT and system capabilities, will provide Kraft and other customers with warehousing, value-added services and transportation to retailers. Customers will be able to take advantage of opportunistic consolidation opportunities and other established DSC consolidation programs such as the Multi-Vendor Optimization Strategy (MOST) developed for Wal-Mart.
