Cadec Global Announces Solutions Upgrade at NPTC 2013 Education Management Conference & Exhibition

DeliveryTracker for trucking fleets now runs in PowerVue environment

CincinnatiApril 29, 2013—Enterprise-class fleet management solutions provider Cadec Global announced at the NPTC 2013 Education Management Conference & Exhibition that its mobile DeliveryTracker application is now available on the PowerVue platform.

DeliveryTracker consists of powerful software that runs on rugged, mobile hand-held units that drivers can take out of the cab in order to scan product and capture signatures at the point of delivery. Data from the handheld is synced with the Cadec On-board Computer (OBC) in real time and signed invoices can be printed on an optional mobile printer. Details such as Over, Short and Damaged stock; other inventory changes; electronic signatures; and copies of invoices are sent back from the OBC to the office for integration with billing; inventory and ERP systems; and creating a paperless delivery environment with no single point of failure.

“Excellent customer service is ingrained in our culture, and is our top priority,” said Bob Matteson, Director of Transportation at Kuna Foodservice, one of the first Cadec customers to implement Delivery Tracker in the PowerVue environment. “DeliveryTracker significantly streamlined our delivery operations. The combination of Cadec’s PowerVue, OBC and handhelds with DeliveryTracker is very potent. Drivers are essentially equipped with a mobile office and Cadec’s real-time data delivery means our managers and in-house systems are instantly alerted to any changes and exceptions. It’s making a big impact on our ability to give customers the best possible service and in increasing productivity.”

DeliveryTracker benefits include:

  • Increased productivity to maximize driver productivity, which allows for more and faster deliveries with fewer mistakes
  • Better inventory control with barcode scanning, which ensures that the correct products and quantities are delivered at each delivery site
  • Eliminates paper and improves records keeping; and automatically keeps delivery and accounting records current. As such, there is no need for paper notes or invoices—everything is recorded on the handheld
  • Streamlines invoices and accelerates cash flow. Proof of delivery is conveyed in real time so invoices can be generated on the spot

“DeliveryTracker is an important element of our promise to extend a company’s supply-chain management efforts all the way to the point of delivery,” said Pete Allen, Chief Executive Officer of Cadec Global. “Moving DeliveryTracker into our SaaS environment was a major engineering accomplishment and a big milestone in the evolution of PowerVue. We’re very proud of the outcome.”
