DiCentral and Mary Kleespies Publish Book

Recently announced publication expands on retailer supply chain compliance best practices

Houston—June 12, 2012—Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) services provider DiCentral and Mary Kleespies, Director of Supply Chain Consulting for DiCentral, announced the release of new book “Ask Mary: Making EDI and Supplier Compliance Simple.” Meant to be a valuable tool for the retail industry, the book expands on Kleespies’ 30 years of experience in supply chain management and business-to-business communication.

Highlights from the book include a detailed review of the history of EDI; a step-by-step guide for EDI and supplier compliance program implementation; and a discussion on the benefits of measuring supplier performance.

“My main goal in writing this book is to provide a guide for members of the retail industry that discusses the most important aspects of the supply chain, and specifically addresses the challenges that they face,” said Kleespies. “My hope is that this book can be a resource for the retail industry when questions arise concerning vendor compliance, EDI implementation and other hot button topics that I often discuss with retailers.”

“Ask Mary: Making Retail EDI and Supplier Compliance Easy” will be available to purchase at GS1 Connect 2012, VCF Retail Only Conference, and the VCF East Coast Collaboration Conference, with plans for wider distribution through Amazon and DiCentral.com.
