Following in the footsteps of Levi Strauss & Co, Nike is the latest big name brand to join the IPE Green Supply Chain Map. Just-Style reports that the online map is the only tool that links leading multinational corporations to their suppliers' environmental performance.

The map provides real-time data and trends in air pollution emissions and wastewater discharge for nearly 15,000 industrial facilities in China, and has access to environmental supervision records for over 500,000 more.

Created by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPE) was launched in January and is based on public data from the Chinese government, just-style reports.

Including Nike's 118 suppliers, the map now includes over 1,300 enterprises from brands like Puma, Adidas, New Balance and Gap. According to just-style, map users can seek out individual companies and verify a supplier's environmental performance.
