Provider and consulting firm ally to deliver asset, service management solutions and services

Bedford, MA — February 16, 2006 — MRO Software, a provider of asset and service management solutions, and BearingPoint Inc., a global management and technology consulting firm, today announced an alliance to help companies and organizations identify and implement strategies and solutions to increase return on investment from enterprise assets.

The alliance combines BearingPoint's business and systems consulting experience and its ProvenCourse tools and methodologies with MRO Software's Maximo Enterprise Suite (MXES), a set of solutions based on a single platform and common architecture.

Together MRO Software and BearingPoint said they plan to assist companies with their efforts to achieve greater efficiency, better manage asset inventory, derive more meaningful metrics and analytics regarding asset and service management, as well as reduce total lifecycle costs.

"BearingPoint and MRO Software are coming together to offer clients a set of answers to their questions on how to better manage their companies' assets, including IT systems, facilities and even real estate," said Jill Goff, a managing director with BearingPoint and co-leader of the Real Estate and Capital Assets Solutions practice. "Any downtime, for instance, to figure out how to process work orders or to maintain a large manufacturing system can cost a company money. BearingPoint and MRO Software can cooperate to offer clients software solutions and services to enable them to improve their businesses' efficiency while reducing costs."

The agreement marks the formalization of an existing multi-year relationship between BearingPoint and MRO Software, which together have implemented solutions for Global 2000 clients.

"Our clients are looking to more effectively manage and maintain their enterprise assets in order to enhance lifecycle productivity, while increasing efficiency of operations, which in turn will improve their investments," said Michael Desabris, a senior manager with BearingPoint. "We look forward to continuing our work together with MRO Software to bring this exciting value proposition to our clients to meet their ever-changing enterprise needs."

MRO Software's Maximo Enterprise Suite (MXES) combines enterprise asset management (EAM) functionality with new service management capabilities to improve the effectiveness of asset management strategies. MXES includes functionality for traditional asset and service management, as well as auto discovery of IT assets, advanced IT asset management and a full-featured service desk based on the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) guidelines.
