"Posi-Lock" printhead mechanism designed to provide high reliability on labels and tags, provider says
Ventura, CA — March 28, 2005 — Barcode printer company Argox has rolled out a new direct thermal barcode printer in the North American market.
The new A-50 printer features Argox's "Posi-Lock" printhead mechanism intended to ensure high reliability and quality printing on direct thermal media, including difficult-to-print hang tags, the solution provider said.
The A-50, which has a list price of $499, prints on labels and tags from 1 inch to 4.1 inches wide, and it holds a 5 inch OD media roll for drop-in reloading. In addition, the printer is compatible with most popular barcode labeling software, and it emulates the Eltron command language for plug-and-play connectivity into many applications, Argox said.
Appropriate for printing carton labels, shelf labels, package shipping labels and various tag materials, the A-50 has a printing duty cycle of up to 2,500 one-inch barcode labels per day, according to the solution provider.
"The A-50 sets the new standard for value in the desktop barcode printer marketplace today," said Bruce Glenn, general manager for Argox North America. "The affordable price and powerful performance of the A-50 enables the benefits of barcoding to be realized in many applications where hardware acquisition cost is a major hurdle."
Argox's international headquarters is located in Taipei, Taiwan.
