Pittsburgh, PA — April 1, 2005 — The Garland Co. Inc., a Cleveland, Ohio-based manufacturer and distributor of roofing and flooring solutions for commercial, industrial and public properties, has selected the Adonix X3 Process suite to help accelerate its company growth plans and integrate processes and data into a single enterprise-wide solution.

Founded in 1895, Garland offers customizable product and service solutions for facility maintenance. The company's diverse product line includes solutions for new construction, retrofit and maintenance applications, supported by support services to help building owners manage their roof assets over the life cycle of their facilities. The company is represented throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Adonix said its X3 Process combines the features of Adonix X3 — a Web-native enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite that integrates manufacturing, distribution, warehouse management, customer relationship management (CRM) and finance functionality — with application features that address the needs of the process manufacturer, including formula management, lot traceability, shelf-life management, quality control and regulatory compliance. Adonix said it is suited for companies producing coatings, adhesives and sealants, as well as other batch-produced products.

"As a growing company, we needed to align processes and centralize information to facilitate decision-making and improve customer service," said Dave Sokol, president of Garland. "Adonix X3 Process will provide us with the functionality and services to accomplish this, from lot traceability and work-in-progress tracking to product packaging and [material safety data sheets (MSDS)]."

Flexibility was also a major selection criterion for Garland. Scott Holter, consultant for Meaden & Moore, a Cleveland-based consulting and accounting firm that assisted Garland in their system evaluation, added, "Adonix X3's embedded development environment will provide The Garland Co. with the flexibility to adapt the system as their needs change, whether from acquisition or adding new product lines. Adonix X3 also has discrete manufacturing capabilities to complement its process orientation, allowing Garland to freely adapt its system to the style of manufacturing required."

"The Garland Co. is known for its long history of innovation and quality in their products," said Alex Attal, Adonix North American CEO. "We look forward to helping them build their information technology infrastructure and assisting them to achieve their growth plans."
