Dairy and ag cooperative to replace existing solution with SPS' WebForms for improved reliability
Minneapolis — August 2, 2005 — Land O'Lakes, a national farmer-owned food and agricultural cooperative with annual sales of more than $7 billion, said it plans to further modernize its supply chain using SPS Commerce's hosted electronic data interchange (EDI) services with its independent warehouses by this Fall.
Currently, Land O'Lakes is teaming with select proprietary and third-party warehouses to transition from the existing solution to SPS Commerce's WebForms service.
"We selected SPS Commerce as it would quickly and cost-effectively replace our existing, outdated solution," said Leona Meikle, director of Dairy Foods Logistics at Land O'Lakes. "This new service is already used by thousands of organizations and meets their requirements. Starting this fall, SPS' hosted EDI software will enable selected warehouses/suppliers to perform EDI using a simple Web-based form, thus eliminating the need for Land O'Lakes to manually enter faxed communications into our system. The program is already underway, and we are very pleased with its progress and the quality of the SPS staff."
"All of us at SPS Commerce welcome Land O'Lakes and its warehouses to our community," said Archie Black, CEO of SPS Commerce. "The team working with Land O'Lakes is skilled in helping organizations of all sizes migrate to SPS Commerce's service, and their progress is on course to meet all of Land O'Lakes goals."
