Redwood Shores, CA — March 26, 2004 — Packaging supplier Bunzl Distribution USA has signed a multi-year contract to use a suite of supply chain solutions from Amphire in a bid to automate its supply chain and drive efficiencies.

Headquartered in St. Louis, Mo., Bunzl Distribution is the leading supplier of disposable paper and plastic packaging supplies for customers in the supermarket, restaurant, processor, janitorial and sanitary maintenance, as well as institutional, airline and industrial markets throughout North America. The company owns and operates more than 70 warehouses to serve these markets, with 2,800 employees and more than 250,000 different supply items.

The agreement with Amphire is part of Bunzl's strategy of electronically enabling the company's supply chain in the foodservice, retail and industrial markets, according to Mark Sementilli, senior vice president of procurement at Bunzl.

Ken Aull, executive vice president for information technology at Bunzl, said that the relationship with Amphire would help the company to bring efficiencies to its diverse base of customers by streamlining the entire order process.

"Amphire has a proven track record of rapidly integrating distributors and suppliers into its suite of applications and has more industry connections than anyone else, allowing Bunzl to take advantage of supply efficiencies faster," Aull added.

Bunzl USA is the largest division of Bunzl plc, an international distribution and outsourcing group headquartered in London.
