Additions to customer base include Amcor PET Packaging Europe/Asia, Carillion plc and SUEZ
Atlanta — July 29, 2004 — Strategic sourcing solutions provider Procuri Inc. this week said that its customer base has expanded with the addition of several international companies, including Amcor PET Packaging Europe/Asia, Carillion plc and SUEZ.
Carillion, one of the United Kingdom's leading business and construction services companies, said it will use Procuri's solutions to reduce costs and improve processes. The company will roll out Procuri's solutions across each of its three main business units — Health, Transport and Business Services.
"Procuri understands the needs of our business, and we are clearly important to them as a customer. By offering functionality for the whole sourcing process and not just reverse auctions, Procuri's solutions enable strategic sourcing throughout our organization," said Sean Vallely, head of supply chain, Carillion Health, Carillion.
Additionally, SUEZ, an international industrial and services group, signed an agreement with Procuri after an extensive evaluation of multiple strategic sourcing vendors. SUEZ said it selected Procuri because of its ease-of-use and functionality. Over the next few months, the group plans to extend the use of Procuri's solutions to its entire purchasing practices.
"We wanted a provider that could help us shorten the lag time from the start of an initiative to the signing of the contract. Procuri's solutions streamline our processes, saving us time and money," said Bruno Lockhart, director of purchasing systems for Suez.
Finally, Amcor is a global packaging company headquartered in Australia. The company operates 218 plants across 36 countries.
"We wanted a reputable provider that had functionality to enhance our sourcing processes," explained Wim Roovers, vice president of purchasing for Amcor PET Packaging Europe/Asia. "Procuri's knowledge and expertise in our industry assured us that we would get the results and savings we were seeking."
