Costa Mesa, CA — November 18, 2004 — Storm Copper Components Co. has been making significant strides to become much more efficient and has been selected as Manufacturer of the Year in the small market category by Start Magazine, a publication for manufacturing executives, in cooperation with the Edward K. Warren Foundation.

The naming of Storm Copper was based on how well the company is embracing today's challenges, a proven track record of job growth, corporate revenues and capital investments, the ability to overcome competitive hurdles and a strong commitment to its workforce.

The company implemented an integrated SYSPRO enterprise resource planning (ERP)/customer relationship management (CRM) software solution in order to achieve efficient materials resource planning (MRP), single point data entry, tracking and costing work orders on the floor, improved inventory control, financial reporting, enhanced customer service and accurate real-time cost modeling.

The Manufacturer of the Year judges included the Edward K. Warren Foundation; and the Chicago Manufacturing Center, a division of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership and Specialty Publishing, which is the parent of Start Magazine.
